“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Quran and indeed, We will be its guardian.” - Quran 15:9

The Event

After the Prophet's (PBUH) passing, the Quran was compiled into a single manuscript during the caliphate of Abu Bakr (RA) and later standardized by Uthman (RA) to preserve its authenticity.

“The Quran was preserved through both memorization and writing.”

Significance

The compilation ensured the Quran would remain unchanged and accessible to all Muslims, uniting the ummah on a single text.

“The Quran is a unifying force for the Muslim world.”

Aftermath

The standardized Quran was distributed to major Islamic cities, and all other versions were destroyed to prevent discrepancies.

“The Quran remains unchanged to this day.”
